How to...

This section will be useful to lots of people - not just those campaigning to protect their local landscape!

Campaigning can look daunting. How do you get the public to support your cause, get the media on your side, write leaflets and posters, compose compelling letters that put your point across?

The good news is that, when you break it all down, most things can be done quite easily - as long as you have a list of things to remember, and maybe someone on the end of a phone or email who can give a bit of extra advice.

On these pages, we'll bring you short articles, showing you how to do things such as write a press release, organise an event, tackle a consultation document, object to a planning application... and lots more. All written in plain English, and designed to give YOU the confidence and knowledge you need to get things moving.

Please tell us if there's something you, or your local group, need help with. Often, someone can get in touch and give you the information you're looking for. Sometimes, we need to give a bit more direct help.

Nearly always, there will be a 'How to...' for this website at the other end of the process, which will be a useful reminder for your team, as well as a handy toolkit for other people in the same situation, elsewhere in the region.
