Group of gardens of varying sizes and styles from small cottage gardens to larger more formal ones in a charming stone built village well know for its apricot trees. There is a wide range of interesting planting incl herbaceous borders, roses and shrubs, some have ponds and some views over open countryside.
Alms Cottages : Interesting and clever division of 2 small cottage gardens with different styles, keeping their individuality without fences or walls.
Aynho Park : 13 acres of parkland surround the house (not open). Sweeping lawns contrast with woodland left in its natural state to provide a rich habitat for wildlife. Seasonal flower beds, herbaceous borders, graceful groupings of trees and limewalk. Fully restored icehouse.
6 Blacksmiths Hill : Mature country garden, large shrub beds, herbaceous borders, roses, 2 espaliered pears, lavender and a small herb bed with box border.

Badby and Newnham Gardens, Daventry, Northamptonshire
Five gardens in two small villages with attractive C18 houses of golden-coloured Hornton stone. Three gardens within Badby's conservation area incl a terraced walled cottage garden with orchard and vegetable garden, a wisteria-clad, thatched Shakespeare's Cottage with small picturesque garden, modern sculptures and seating areas to catch the sun and a fascinating plantsman's garden on a sloping site which also incl conservatory, pond and vegetable garden. Nearby the C13 church in Newham you will find a 3-acre organic garden surrounding thatched cottage, with fine views. Just outside the village towards Badby is a garden containing a mix of traditional and contemporary planting (by James Alexander-Sinclair) leading to a delightful woodland walk.

Much herbaceous planting incl exotic and unusual, many for sunny areas as well as shady woodland. Variety of garden buildings, structures, patios and seating areas affording the opportunity to sit and rest whilst admiring the gardens. There is a former walled kitchen garden, a C19 gazebo with a unique collection of Queen-Empresses, swags of wisteria, archways of hornbeam and archways clothed in roses and other climbers for both sun and shade, ponds and other water features, small and large.
Bertha's Patch : Family garden with perennial and bedding areas and an established secret woodland. The garden is on three different levels around a main lawn.

Kilsby Gardens, Northamptonshire
Kilsby is a stone and brick village with historic interest, home of St Faith's Church dating from the C12 and 2 public houses. Heritage trail. The village was the site of one of the first skirmishes of the Civil War in 1642 and also gave its name to Stephenson's nearby lengthy rail tunnel built in the 1830s. 5 lovely gardens set in the village of Kilsby. 3 small gardens offering a lovely mix of features incl ponds, courtyard, soft fruit bushes and mixed flower borders. The old part of the picturesque village has many late C17 stone built houses and turn of the C19/20 brick-built ones. These line the route between the seven inner village gardens, which are of a very varied nature. One is more formal with courtyard, walled garden and orchard, another a natural stream and pond, one has a 300yr old Holm (evergreen) oak. 3 gardens are cottage-style, with one well-stocked with tulips. Many interesting shrubs with good use of foliage colour. 3 gardens show how much can be made of a small area. Several gardens have fine views over rolling agricultural countryside.
