Every year since 1927, members of the National Gardens Scheme have been throwing open their doors to the public, raising money for good causes. There are often refreshments, and sometimes you can buy plants and cuttings to take home and try in your own garden. Not all the gardens are big - but every single one is bursting with lovely ideas you can learn from and enjoy.To find East Midlands gardens opening near you, first click on your county.

New planting in front of the house and under the old yew tree has now matured into a substantial feature.
